Over the past ten years, Pentatonix has undergone a remarkable journey. The trio has notched up an impressive collection of EPs and full-length albums, graced numerous prestigious award ceremonies, and skyrocketed to fame following their viral rendition of “Jolene” with Dolly Parton on “The Voice.” The culmination of their efforts was the coveted Grammy win, their third to date, for this memorable collaboration.
Last year saw a significant personal milestone for Pentatonix’s beatboxer, Kevin Olusola. In a heartwarming two-day ceremony, he exchanged vows with his longtime partner, Leigh Weissman. Following this celebration, the devout Christian, born to Nigerian immigrants in Pasadena but raised in Kentucky, made a substantial real estate move by acquiring a $2.8 million residence in Westlake Village. This family-oriented community, located an hour north of Downtown Los Angeles, proved to be an ideal choice.
Olusola’s residence, originally built in 1979 and meticulously renovated in 2018, graces a serene hilltop cul-de-sac. The setting provides sweeping views of the surrounding hills and inviting hiking trails. A pathway paved with masonry leads to the entrance, where double doors open into a foyer adorned with elegant cream-colored parquet floors. The seamless integration of indoor and outdoor living is facilitated by LaCantina folding doors, revealing stunning vistas of the rolling hills from the great room.
The capacious living space boasts a linear fireplace and well-crafted built-in cabinetry. Described as a “gourmet chef’s fantasy kitchen,” the adjoining culinary haven showcases an exquisite Ann Sacks tile backsplash, top-tier SubZero and Wolf appliances, and sleek Caesarstone countertops. Noteworthy features include a butler’s pantry, an icicle chandelier, fabric-clad walls, and an immaculate white stone fireplace in the formal dining area. On the main floor, one discovers a guest bedroom suite, a utility room, and a contemporary bar seamlessly integrated into the living area.
Ascending to the second floor unveils four additional bedrooms, including an expansive master suite featuring a fireplace, a cozy sitting area, dual vanities, and an opulent glass steam shower. The landing opens to a spacious terrace that provides an idyllic setting to witness the sun’s descent over the pristine hills.
The rear of the residence is graced by a brick and concrete patio enveloping a captivating hexagonal pool and Jacuzzi. The home’s meticulous finishing touches include epoxy garage flooring, a state-of-the-art Sonos audiovisual system, motorized window coverings controlled by Lutron technology, and tasteful recessed LED lighting.
Beyond this acquisition, the 32-year-old Olusola holds ownership of a three-bedroom townhouse in the evolving gated community of Hawthorne. This property, secured in 2016 for $850,000, is presently in escrow and invites bids at $999,000, marking an interesting development in his real estate portfolio.
