Recently, unofficial sources have revealed that footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is rumored to be one of the ten individuals to own the limited-edition Bugatti Centodieci supercar from the renowned luxury car manufacturer Bugatti. The Juventus Torino star has reportedly placed an order for this hypercar with a starting price of $8.9 million USD. Prior to acquiring the Centodieci, Ronaldo also possesses a valuable collection of cars, including both the Veyron and Chiron models from Bugatti.
Regarding this information, a representative from Bugatti mentioned that Cristiano Ronaldo is considered part of the Bugatti family due to his ownership of both the Veyron and Chiron models in his garage, as well as his appearances alongside these cars in media. However, the company cannot provide further commentary on this matter as it aligns with Bugatti’s policy.
The Bugatti Centodieci is the official fifth variant of the Bugatti Chiron, unveiled in the summer of last year at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance exhibition in the United States. This supercar draws its inspiration from the limited-production EB110 from the 1990s and was introduced to celebrate Bugatti’s 110th anniversary.
Only 10 units of the Centodieci are being manufactured, each with an extremely high price tag of $9 million USD, following Bugatti’s La Voiture Noire ($19 million USD) as the second most expensive Bugatti model.
The Bugatti Centodieci is equipped with an 8.0L W16 gasoline engine featuring 4 turbochargers, generating a remarkable power output of 1,600 horsepower, surpassing the standard Chiron’s 1,479 horsepower. This engine configuration enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h in 6.1 seconds, and from 0 to 300 km/h in 13.1 seconds.
The electronically limited top speed of the Centodieci is 380 km/h, which is slower than the Chiron’s 420 km/h. The reason for the Centodieci’s lower top speed compared to the Chiron is due to its design focus on racing, prioritizing downforce on the road over sheer top speed.
The design of the Centodieci is striking, featuring a horseshoe-shaped front grille and a carbon fiber front air splitter with white accents. The LED headlights of the car have a similar shape to the Chiron’s but are more streamlined. The supercar is equipped with dual-tone 7-spoke wheels combining black and white hues, along with prominent red brake calipers.
Designed with a stronger racing orientation, the rear of the Centodieci stands out with a large rear wing and four round exhaust pipes positioned in a highly impressive manner. The supercar is painted in white, intentionally contrasting with the black hue of the La Voiture Noire, which was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
