The Weeknd’s $70M Bel Air Luxury Villa Revealed

The Weeknd, an R&B musician also known as Abel Tesfaye off-stage, purchased a Bel Air home in one of the priciest purchases to take place in Los Angeles this year. The residence’s living space is more than 33,000 square feet, which is a substantial amount. A sports court, an infinity pool with a waterfall, and a dynamic split staircase connecting the top patio to the lawn are among the outside features of the home. The interior of the house comprises a gym, theater, music studio, sauna, hammam, and indoor pool.

The 1.6-acre land where these facilities are situated overlooks the Bel Air Country Club. Madonna has recently acquired the former home of the “Blinding Lights” singer.

Before Rayni and Branden Williams of the Beverly Hills Estates expressed interest in showing Tesfaye the property, the property’s previous owners, Dutch media tycoon Reinout Oerlemans and his wife, competitive cyclist Danielle Oerlemans, weren’t even planning on selling the property. In the end, the Williams team was in charge of representing the Oerlemans, and Angel Salvador, another Beverly Hills Estates agent, was in charge of Tesfaye.

The Oerlemans purchased the home in 2015 for $21.4 million, and over the next three years, they expanded it by 13,000 square feet and incorporated many of the comforts mentioned above. They also improved the home’s decor from its early 2000s period by giving it a more contemporary look. The house has numerous unique features, like office walls covered in muted wooden sunburst panels and kitchen drawer handles made from leather belts. The living room walls are painted in an orange gloss. The prospective redecorating intentions of the three-time Grammy Award winner are still unknown.
