Demonstrating his generosity, the world’s third-wealthiest billionaire, Jeff Bezos, has invested a significant amount of money to enhance the luxury of getaways and resorts on boats, especially with his girlfriends.
Jeff Bezos, renowned as the third richest individual globally, is no stranger to a lavish yachting lifestyle. The crown jewel of opulent vessels, the Koru, valued at a staggering $500 billion, stretches 70 meters in length and boasts a width nearly half that of Egypt’s largest pyramid at Giza. Maintaining this grandeur comes at a daily cost of no less than $50 billion USD.
Within the confines of this vessel, an array of lavish amenities unfolds, including a sprawling swimming pool, a state-of-the-art theatre, a serene spa, a fully-equipped gym, and more. Despite accommodating up to 60 individuals, encompassing both crew and guests, the Koru is somewhat secluded without a conveniently located airport.
Lauren Sanchez, Bezos’ partner of four years, brings her own unique flair to the equation. As the founder of the Black Ops Association, the first female-owned aerial filming and production company, and a licensed helicopter pilot, Sanchez’s preferences play a role. Observing that the Koru superyacht lacked a helipad, she orchestrated the acquisition of the Aeona, a 75-foot support ship complete with its own airfield and helipad, ensuring a grand entrance.
Hailing from a shipyard in the Netherlands, the Aeona was constructed at an estimated cost of $75 billion and christened after a Roman goddess. It also holds the distinction of being the largest support ship ever commissioned. With a capacity for 45 individuals, encompassing both crew, visitors, and specialized personnel, Aeona stands ready to fulfill a multitude of roles. From transporting jet skis and substantial swimming buoys to even accommodating the storage of sardines, this vessel is a testament to both extravagance and practicality.
