Slayer Guitarist Kerry King Puts Contemporary Las Vegas Mansion on the Market for $4.3M

Renowned as the co-founder and co-lead guitarist of the iconic heavy-metal band Slayer, Kerry King has decided to part ways with his sleek and modern mansion in Las Vegas. This ultramodern property, which King acquired in 2020 for $3,819,000, is now available for purchase at a listing price of $4,299,000.

Spanning an impressive 6,000 square feet, the residence boasts five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a distinct architectural design that immediately captures attention. Notably, the custom-built home was curated under the artistic vision of renowned Australian photographer Peter Lik, who ventured into real estate. From the captivating floating staircase to the floor-to-ceiling glass walls, the house emanates a sense of contemporary luxury. Clean lines and exquisite wood floors are featured prominently throughout the space, and every room offers access to the sunlit backyard and inviting pool area through glass pocket doors.

Exterior shutters provide a refreshing breeze in the hot Southwestern climate, while the fireplace in the primary bedroom suite adds a cozy touch for cooler desert evenings. The adjoining bathroom is truly exceptional, boasting a spacious vanity and a sculptural tub strategically positioned near a window overlooking the pool.

Enhancing the luxurious experience, the primary bedroom deck also includes an outdoor soaking tub, while a sauna provides an additional element of opulence. The property is further complemented by a wine room, pool house, and an outdoor kitchen complete with a bar, catering to high-end leisure. Moreover, environmentally-conscious buyers will appreciate the integration of smart-home automation and solar technology throughout the residence.

Although Slayer officially disbanded following their final show in November 2019, Kerry King remains committed to his musical pursuits with a new iteration of his former group. Teaming up with ex-Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph, King’s new band is poised to take the stage and start performing later this year.
