While the news of the actor’s expanding family took many of his fans by surprise, Robert De Niro himself wasn’t taken aback when his seventh child came into the world.

During the premiere of “About My Father” on Tuesday night, Page Six posed a question to De Niro about his reaction to becoming a father once again at the age of 79.

The actor’s former New York penthouse sprawls across two stories, offering stunning 360-degree vistas of the Manhattan skyline and the Hudson River. Nestled within the charming Tribeca neighborhood, the Greenwich Village building, boasting a rich industrial heritage dating back to the 1920s as a former maraschino cherry production plant, houses De Niro’s elegant residence. Designed by acclaimed Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt and Japanese architect Tatsuro Miki, the apartment embodies the Japanese Wabi aesthetic, celebrating the allure of imperfections in objects and surroundings.

Following his departure from beloved Tribeca, De Niro has taken up residence in the distinguished 35AB, a full-floor abode at Central Park West. This residence, encompassing both apartments 35A and 35B on the 35th floor, ranks among the most opulent rentals in the neighborhood. De Niro and Grace Hightower turned to this residence as an alternative after a fire incident struck their previous triplex at the Brentmore, 88 Central Park West, in 2012. While their permanent dwelling undergoes renovations, the couple has been residing in the West Village.

The five-bedroom, 6,000-square-foot Central Park Street residence is owned by steel magnate Leroy Schecter. Acquiring the property for an astounding $18.9 million in 2008, Schecter put the apartment on the market for auction in 2012, with a staggering bid of $95 million.
