The C8 Chevrolet Corvette has a lot going for it, including (relatively) affordable pricing, attractive styling, a powertrain with new coordinates, and supercar-level performance and handling. No wonder it has garnered the affection and interest of commoners and celebrities equally.
Trippie Redd, an American rapper, singer, and songwriter best known by his stage name Michael Lamar White IV, is the latest member of the notorious group. His Billboard performances demonstrate that, fortunately, unlike other superficial celebrities, his exaggerated personality is matched by genuine talent.
We’re also developing a soft spot for him after viewing his most recent social media post, which prominently features a C8 Chevrolet Corvette. Considering that we’re dealing with the man also known as the “Trippie Hippie,” this is no ordinary Corvette. Instead, it will stand out from the throng due to its exotic customizations.
Unfortunately, the artist has not provided any information about who, when, where, or for how much the work was created. But it clearly demonstrates why fans affectionately refer to the Corvette as a “canvas that allows owners to make it their own” and jumped from mild to wild with only a few custom touches.
As far as we can tell, it’s a very cool case of customization consisting of a wrap (in a fantastic shade of red, of course) combined with carbon fibre accents, a set of outlandish aftermarket wheels, and LED lights tucked in all the right places (including the engine compartment). As always, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the widebody design earns high marks for creativity.
