We’re used to seeing Rick Ross post pictures of expensive items on social media, but his most recent post is in a league of its own.
On Monday, The Boss tested on an unparalleled $20 million Jacob & Co. watch. “I’m thrilled. It’s incredible. During a FaceTime call with the company’s founder and chairman, Jacob Arabo, he stated, “Thanks for getting it to the city so I could try it on.” “This individual is the Billionaire.”
The timepiece, nicknamed the Billionaire Timeless Treasure, was unveiled to the public for the first time in March at the annual Watches & Wonders exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland. It was custom-made by the American jewellery manufacturer.
The story behind the creation of the timepiece resembles a fairytale: it took three and a half years for the company to locate enough yellow diamonds of the same hue and quality. Then, a group of 10 individuals had to arrange the gems in order to coat the bracelet, bezel, dial, and crown. Jacob & Co. stated on its website that the global treasure hunt to locate sufficient yellow diamonds of high quality for the piece nearly dried up the market.
The material was then reduced to produce 425 Asscher-cut diamonds weighing approximately 217 carats. Additionally, 76 emerald-cut and kite-cut emerald-green tsavorites encase the watch’s movement. When viewed through the sapphire caseback of the watch, the word “billionaire” is engraved with a cheerful face in the letter “o.”
“From my vantage point, it is a lovely sight. It is a lovely occasion. “This is an incredible watch,” the rapper said. “It is impossible to duplicate. This is not replicable.”
It is not the first time Ross has worn a Billionaire watch by Jacob & Co. The rapper posted a number of expensive items earlier this year, including a white-gold Billionaire III watch. The $3 million timepiece features a case made of 18-karat white gold and 75 emerald-cut white diamonds. In case that wasn’t enough, the rapper paired the timepiece with large, diamond pinky rings that were also made by the same company.
