Kevin Hart Spends Billions on Calabasas Vacation Mansion for Family Getaway

Two beats one sometimes. More money makes these instances more common and urgent. Kevin Hart is reportedly worth $200 M. Public documents show he spent $7 M for a home next door to his bigger one.
Hart’s custom-built Calabasas home was completed in 2018. On a 26-acre plot, 24 acres are steep hillside, making the 9500-square-foot Mediterranean-style home unbuildable. The magnificent property has a main mansion, two attached guesthouses, a children’s playground, a huge swimming pool, and a volleyball court.

The 16.3-acre hillside estate next door has a two-acre graded site with a 9,300-square-foot, architecturally ambiguous home with a grey tiled roof, an infinity-edged pool, a full-size tennis court, spacious lawns, and huge gardens. The 2004 home was never advertised.

According to property records, Hart bought the house next door from Shakim Compere, Queen Latifah’s longtime business partner and Miami- and Los Angeles-based film producer. Flavour Unit Entertainment, created by the Queen and Compere in 1995, has produced over a dozen films and TV shows and inked an exclusive overall arrangement with Netflix.

Compere and Tonya spent $6.7 M for the high-maintenance Calabasas mansion in 2015, so it seems doubtful that they made a profit selling it to Hart and Eniko Parrish.

Hart (“Jumanji,” “Think Like a Man,” “Get Hard”) has a 42-acre estate with two pools, two sports facilities, and approximately 19,000 square feet of living space. Dozens of cars may park off-street.

Hart’s “extra” residence is gated. Its beige stucco and stone façade conceals six bedrooms and six bathrooms.

The formal living and dining rooms include large windows and wide-plank wood flooring.
