Monday, the rapper XXXTentacion was shot and killed near the motorcycle dealership where he was renovating a $1.4 million residence. The ‘Look at Me!’ rapper purchased the mansion in Parkland, Florida, last November and was nearing completion of a comprehensive renovation.

The opulent residence is only 15 minutes away from the location where he was killed by two gunmen on Monday afternoon while browsing motorcycles. According to the real estate agents who marketed the residence, Zillow, the 6,000-square-foot home has four bedrooms, five restrooms, and a swimming pool on more than an acre of land.

XXX’s neighbours told TMZ that construction crews had been working diligently to complete the project in the week preceding his demise. The musician reportedly installed a security fence around the perimeter of his property and made a number of other modifications. His neighbours reported that he had just recently moved in full-time and described him as “quiet but sociable.” Photos of the interior of the mansion depict its condition when he gained possession of it a year ago, prior to its renovation.

Two armed suspects purportedly opened fire on XXXTentacion as he drove away from a motorcycle dealership, where he had been looking at new motorcycles. TMZ reported that one of the suspects, described as black men wearing hoodies, shot the victim before both men fled in a black Dodge Journey with dark tint and black rims. Stephanie Martinez, a 29-year-old mother who resides in the neighbourhood, and her children had just returned from the pool when they heard three gunshots. She drove to the end of the street and discovered the corpse of the rapper in the car.

His mouth is open and his forearm is extended. Two individuals checked his pulse, according to Martinez, who also observed blood. It’s strange because he should have had security and other things with him.
