Isaac Burrough, an Amsterdam-based designer, has unveiled his latest motor yacht concept, a 28-meter vessel inspired by product design.
Burrough adds, “My intention was to look beyond the typical sources of inspiration for the yachting industry in order to create a design that is both calming and inviting.”
Using long uninterrupted lines, large clean surfaces, and bold rounded edges, the resulting design seeks to combine functionality, elegance, and simplicity with a striking aesthetic.
The exterior and interior were influenced by Mediterranean living, as evidenced by the Santorini blue hull finish and matching upholstery and soft furnishings in the saloon.
A full-beam owner’s accommodation on the main deck and a full-beam VIP suite on the lower deck accommodate up to eight guests. This is made feasible by the yacht’s vertical bow, which maximises interior space in relation to its length.
The crew quarters would be located forward on the lower deck, with space for up to four crew members. The garage can accommodate a 5.65-metre tender and a Jet Ski, but the skylounge is the main attraction. This area, which is accessible via a central glass-sided staircase, measures an impressive 98 square metres.
Burrough, who was born in New Zealand, adds that the flat coachroof was designed with solar panels in mind, making it an ideal choice for a yacht owner who wishes to reduce their carbon imprint and build an eco-friendly vessel.
