Inside Rapper French Montana’s Calabasas Compound worth $5M

The rapper French Montana has abandoned his mansion in Calabasas. The musician made a $5 million transaction, the Los Angeles Times first reported.

His opulent property was initially listed for $6.6 million in early 2020, but the price was soon reduced to $6 million. Last year, the price decreased once more, to $5.6 million. In April of this year, the residence was relisted for a price just below $5 million, which was within the appropriate range to attract a buyer.

Even with the discount, the retail price represents a profit for the lyricist born Karim Kharbouch. As previously reported, he purchased the home from fellow recording artist Selena Gomez for $3.3 million in 2016. Gomez purchased the property for $3.7 million in 2014 and then sold it for a loss.

During his tenure in residence, Montana added his own touches, including a $400,000 recording studio and a remodelled interior in which jewel tones were replaced by more neutral hues.

The 2004-built residence features six bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, and a spacious 8,618 square feet.

The gated compound in the gated community of Mureau Estates is located at the end of a vast motor court.

The primary residence has floor-to-ceiling windows, a spacious living room, and a formal dining room. It opens to a courtyard that features a picturesque outdoor dining area with a dining table and string lighting.
