The Connecticut mansion belonging to rapper 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, has finally been sold for $2.9 mιllιon. This substantial residence, located near Farmington and approximately 80 miles from Greenwich, boasts an impressive living space of over 50,000 square feet and stands out as one of the few properties in the state with authorized helicopter landing grounds, as confirmed by its listing company, Douglas Elliman.
Described as the epitome of “opulence and luxury,” the estate encompasses 19 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, and an indoor pool, according to the listing. Moreover, the property offers a wide range of amenities, including a nightclub, an indoor basketball court, multiple game rooms, a green screen room, a recording studio, a fully equipped gym, a conference room, and a home cinema.
Occupying 17.6 acres of land, the mansion’s grounds feature a pool, a grotto, a pond, a basketball court, guesthouses, and gardens. The sale of the property was facilitated by Jennifer Leahy of Douglas Elliman, who represented the estate during the transaction.
Selling the mansion proved to be a challenging task. Over the years, 50 Cent had made considerable efforts to find a buyer for the property. The Wall Street Journal reported that the selling price was 84 percent lower than the initial asking price set 12 years ago.
Before the sale, the mansion was listed on Zillow as available for rent at a monthly price of $100,000. A representative for 50 Cent informed the Wall Street Journal that the proceeds from the sale would benefit the rapper’s non-profit organization, the G-Unity Foundation.
