Jordan Clarkson and his girlfriend have fun in Jazzy Modern Farmhouse

In Sherman Oaks, Jordan Clarkson made an impressive move by selling his scarcely lived-in mansion for $7.5 million. Not only is that considerably more than the NBA player’s initial $6.8 million asking price, but it’s also significantly more than the $5.7 million the former Laker and current Utah Jazz player paid for the home in late 2020. Nick Miller, professionally known as Illenium, a DJ and electronic dance music (EDM) producer from Denver, is the new proprietor of the contemporary residence, according to public records.

Are you unfamiliar with Illium? The 31-year-old prolific performer debuted on the music scene in 2013 as an obscure bedroom producer. He won “Remix of the Year” at the 2017 Electronic Music Awards for his work on “Say It.” His 2019 album “Ascend” peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard 200, and the Forbes “30 Under 30” list-maker — and recovering drug addict — has become a fixture at music festivals ranging from Coachella to Bonnaroo. Illenium (a play on the word “millennium”) has also collaborated with Kill the Noise, Excision, Call Me Karizma, Bahari, and The Chainsmokers.

Built in 2019 and designed in the prevalent modern farmhouse style, the walled and gated structure features an expansive brick motorcourt and 8,000 square feet with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Custom woodwork and lighting, as well as integrated indoor-outdoor living areas, can be found throughout the two-story home’s rustic-chic interiors. Stylish amenities include a movie theatre with a drop-down projector, a loft-style living area, and an executive office separated by a glass wall from the “showroom” garage.

A gourmet kitchen is outfitted with high-end Wolf and SubZero appliances, a spacious centre island with a breakfast bar, and a butler’s pantry, and an adjacent family room features a soaring fireplace with book-matched quartz slabs and a vaulted ceiling. In addition, the formal dining room features a transparent, temperature-controlled wine showcase.

There are also two master suites, with the larger one featuring a fireplace, dual walk-in closets, a patio, and a quartz bathroom with dual vanities and double showers with a steam unit. The half-acre property’s flat, grassy grounds, which include a patio with a custom firepit, an infinity-edged pool and Jacuzzi, a fireside cabana, built-in barbecue, putting green, and sports court, are especially noteworthy.

The listing agent was Zeev Perez of Keller Williams Realty Encino-Sherman Oaks, and the buyer was represented by Ken Zietz of Rodeo Realty.
