Unleash the Power: Discover the Incredible V-8 Jet Ski, the Muscle Car of the Water

There are jet skis and Kurt Strand’s high-powered oceanic beast. The renowned yacht designer at American company Strand Craft has unveiled what he considers to be the industry’s first V-8-powered vessel.

Please allow us to present the new Strand Craft V-8 Daytona GT. After more than five years of development, the menacing jet ski “marries power and speed” to provide unrestrained excitement. Consider it the Shelby Daytona of the oceans. Despite the paucity of information, there are a few specifications that will excite seafarers.

Despite having the elegant profile of a sports coupé, the Daytona is nothing short of formidable. The massive vessel, which will likely be constructed from fibreglass or aluminium, measures approximately 17 feet in length and 5 feet in width and weighs 1,250 pounds. This makes it considerably larger and heavier than a typical jet watercraft.

It is also more potent. Similar to American muscle cars, the Daytona is equipped with a powerful V-8 engine. Strand Craft has not specified a maximum pace for the supercharged 6.2-liter aluminium engine. Needless to say, this object will surely pierce through the waves.

All engine functions are displayed on a 15-inch touchscreen display in the cockpit. It also has a premium sound system that can blast the necessary cruising music and a cooler compartment under the seat for storing refreshments. Forward is a storage compartment that can store additional equipment.

Strand Craft has enumerated a plethora of opulent optional features, luxury being a central design principle. Customers can select, among other options, a carbon fibre body, wood inlays, a custom trailer, and bespoke packaging. If desired, you can even add an underwater camera and shock-absorbing seats.

“Beautiful, powerful and opulent. These three adjectives inspired the design of my new concept for a watercraft,” Strand writes on his website. “I wanted to create a model that marries power and speed with the grace and elegance of Strand Craft’s design heritage.”

The company has not provided a price for the Daytona, but boasts “you dream it, we build it.” We anticipate that some of these desires will soon be realised on the water.
