The novel trimaran design by Steve Kozloff is about many things. One of them is not understated.
The 328-foot Trident has a striking silhouette resembling the tip of Poseidon’s three-pronged trident, as well as a steel hull and aluminium superstructure that will make it stand out on the high seas. In addition, her six platforms are brimming with leisure and entertainment options.
Beginning on the interior, the Trident’s multi-level living quarters encompass more than 5,100 square feet and feature enormous windows for panoramic vistas. From the large piano bar and saloon on the upper deck, a network of walkways will lead you to other sections.
The 682-square-foot owner’s suite is located in the bow of the main hull, whereas the VIP cabins are located in the projections of the two smaller hulls. In addition to the 10 guest quarters on the outriggers, there is space for up to 20 crew members.
Outside, there is a full-beam beach club at the main hull’s rear with retractable decks for additional space. There are two spas in the mail hull, one forward and one aft, as well as a helipad and a swimming pool on each ama because double the amenities equals double the enjoyment.
Two tenders, U-Boat Worx’s Nemo submarine, and other water items can be stored in the full-beam garage. Obviously, the ship is equipped with a hoist system to assist with the loading and unloading of cargo. Six self-inflating lifeboats are also located beneath the main deck.
Trident is the newest “folding” sailing yacht in Kozloff’s Goliath Series, comprising Elegante, Glory, and Galleon. Like her forerunners, Trident is equipped with a Solid Sail system designed by the French firm Chantiers de L’Atlantique. Kozloff asserts that this arrangement has numerous advantages over conventional equipment. Most notably, the two free-standing masts can tilt forward 70 degrees to reduce the air draught from 238 feet to 138.5 feet, allowing the ship to pass under the majority of bridges.
Additionally, each mast can rotate a complete 360 degrees to maximize wind power. In this regard, Trident can reach 12 knots under sail propulsion. She is also equipped with a hybrid (diesel-electric) propulsion system that permits a maximum speed of 17 knots. At 14 knots, she can travel 6,700 nautical miles solely on diesel.
