A 240-Foot Concept with Jaw-Dropping Dual-Level Pools Stacked for Unparalleled Luxury

Gill Schmid Design’s yachts are always loaded with outlandish amenities, from an explorer with a Ferrari exhibit room to a hybrid with an open-air movie theater. The latest concept from the New York studio is no exception.

The 240-foot yacht, named Escapade, is designed for outdoor living and incorporates not one but three swimming pools. The layout, in typical Gill Schmid fashion, is unlike anything we’ve seen before and seeks to connect mariners with their surroundings.

The studio said in a statement, “Being on board is all about the experience of living on the water and experiencing nature in an entirely new way.”

Beginning at the rear, the two-story beach club features a variety of soaking areas. The ground floor features an impressive reflective pool flanked by “sand beaches” and loungers. It also features a swim platform and terraces that fold out to provide direct access to the water. A grand outdoor staircase leads to the main deck, which features an infinity pool with a glass bottom and a pool lounge with prime lounging places.

The opposite end of the foredeck features a full-beam infinity pool, a fire pit with inset seating, a few lounges and sun cushions, and cabanas.

The interior and exterior are seamlessly connected so that you never feel too far from water or fresh air. Four guest accommodations are located on the lower deck and offer direct access to the beach club, while two are located directly adjacent to the pool and lounge on the upper deck. In addition to being located on the main deck, the full-beam owner’s suite features a living area, dual restrooms, and walk-in closets.

The bridge deck also includes a formal dining room, cigar parlor, and gallery. The sun deck has a gym, sauna, steam room, massage room, hairdressers, and beauty area, in addition to large outdoor lounges where you can relax after your exercise.

Ready for an escapade? Gill Schmid Design suggests that Drries Yachts could construct Escapade for a “unique owner.”
