Rihanna invests a questionable sum on a condo in the sky above Century City to welcome a new member

Rihanna has lived in Los Angeles’ most expensive and renowned apartment skyscraper, The Century, since 2014. With a new baby, a second kid on the way, staff, and her continuous entourage, her three-bedroom, 3,500-square-foot house is feeling cramped.
The Barbadian superstar paid $21 M to buy a 40th-floor penthouse at The Century to fix this problem. With almost 9,000 square feet of living space, unique features, and stunning vistas, the home is suitable for an A-lister.

Nick Molnar, the wealthy co-founder of Afterpay, sold the apartment. Rihanna negotiated a big decrease and apparently used L.A.’s mansion tax as leverage since the purchαsє was concluded on March 31, one day before the new tax took effect. If the purchαsє been consummated in April, Molnar would have owed $1.1 M in taxes.

After stepping off the private elevator landing into the condo’s entry gallery, visitors are astonished by the living room’s curved wall of floor-to-ceiling windows with city skyline views. The dining room’s dark brown hardwood flooring flow into the all-white kitchen’s marble countertops, two islands, and high-end equipment.

The home has a master suite with a curved bedroom, two bespoke closets, two bathrooms, and a lounge, as well as a soundproof movie theater with velour sofas. The condo’s most spectacular features are its four outdoor terraces, which face north, south, east, and west and give panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island, Downtown Los Angeles skyscrapers, the San Gabriel mountains, and even snow-capped Mount Baldy.

Rihanna’s penthouse has a $8,814 monthly HOA fee, but she gets access to all of the building’s best amenities, including four deeded parking spaces in the garage, a 24-hour concierge, security guards, an outdoor pool and lush gardens, on-site storage, a restaurant, conference rooms, and more.
