Nas’s $9.5M house in posh Calabasas

Due to tax noncompliance, Nasir “Nas” Jones lost his Georgia home to public foreclosure in 2012. The iconic hip-hop musician is improving, however. After 14 nominations, he won his first Grammy for the rap album “King’s dιѕeaѕe” and moved into a $3.5 M house in Calabasas’ semi-rural outskirts.

The 2007 Mediterranean-meets-Southwestern property, previously advertised for $2.5 M, includes four bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, towering ceilings, arched doors, and limestone flooring. The 10+ acres and features generated a bidding աɑɾ.

Nas’ new property overlooks mountains and is concealed behind a lengthy road with gates and cameras. The multilevel house features an eight-car motorcourt and a double-height entrance with a wrought-iron staircase.

The main level has a fireplace, built-in bookcases, and glass sliders to a terrace. The gourmet kitchen boasts a center island, Viking appliances, granite countertops, breakfast nook, butler’s pantry, fireplace family room, formal dining room, and office.

The property boasts a vast wine cellar with tasting area and a billiards room with a wet bar. A lavish master bedroom offers a two-way fireplace, sitting area, private balcony, twin walk-in closets, gym, and spa-like bath with a jetted soaking tub and steam shower. The backyard contains a grotto-style pool with a Jacuzzi, waterfall, and water slide, as well as a BBQ patio. Rooftop balconies with limitless views complement everything.

Nas, 48, debuted on Main Source’s “Live at the Barbecue” in 1991. In 1996, “It Was Written” topped the Billboard charts, while “Illmatic” premiered in 1994. Nas, MTV’s “Greatest MC of All Time,” has sold 25 M copies and eight platinum albums. He’s a $70 M record producer, entrepreneur, and actor.

Alex Duk of Harcourts Beverly Hills represented Nas, while Angela Waters of Harcourts Prime Properties listed it.
