Now is your opportunity to acquire a piece of musical history: The former Los Angeles mansion of rapper Tupac Shakur was recently listed for $2.6 million and is described as “every entertainer’s dream” property in the listing.
Death Row Records rented the magnificent Mediterranean-style home in the Woodland Hills neighbourhood of Los Angeles to the rapper and his fiancée Kidada Jones in 1995. Prior to Shakur’s tragic assassination in Las Vegas in 1996, the couple was in the process of purchasing the residence.
The elaborate six-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom mansion, listed by Mark Hermann and Eric Delgado of Keller Williams, would be the rapper’s final residence. Twenty years after the current proprietor spent $1 million upgrading the property, a relic of Shakur remains.
The New York Daily News reports that a concrete slab on the exterior of the mansion bears the inscriptions “Outlawz” and “Let no man separate what we create,” both of which are taken from a 1997 single featured on the “Supercop” soundtrack.
Notable features of the 5,895-square-foot home suitable for a music superstar include breathtaking valley views, two dog runs along the side of the house, Venetian plaster walls in the dining and living room, and a two-car garage with space for up to 15 vehicles.
The exquisite master suite also features a fireplace, private living room, three walk-in closets, and an elegant master bathroom with a large shower equipped with two steamers and a deep Jacuzzi tub.
