M51 Unveils Captivating 80-Meter Superyacht Concept Inspired by Nature
With consideration for all weather and climate conditions, Forge’s design is intended to resemble a volcano on the water. This is achieved by the pyramid-shaped, obsidian-black superstructure and the sharp, angular orange decking.
The unique design allows for vaulted ceilings in the sky lounge and a private panoramic glass ceiling on the upper deck in the master cabin, allowing visitors to view the night sky from bed.
A helipad on the foredeck, generous port and starboard fold-out balconies, a walkaround bridge deck, and a grand staircase flowing aesthetically down various levels to the swimming area and beyond enable guests to completely appreciate their surroundings.
The interior features high-quality natural materials and a modern, refined design to contrast with the exterior’s bold appearance. A fully-equipped gym and sauna, as well as a gimbal-mounted sensory deprivation tank, accommodate to all lifestyle and wellness needs, while a large full-beam tender/toy garage with port and starboard hull doors provides ample storage space for all leisure accessories.
The concept has an interior volume of 1,750 GT, a beam of 12 metres, and an ice-class hull for secure and comfortable polar cruising.
The concept’s range exceeds 5,000 nautical miles due to its hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system. Anthony Glasson, who spent over ten years as an engineer in the superyacht industry, designed M51.
