Martini 7.0: Unveiling the Game-Changing 50m Catamaran with Mesmerizing Undulating Hulls

American manufacturer Servo Yachts has collaborated with British studio Shuttleworth Design to create a series of catamaran designs with anti-seasickness suspension technology.

The 50-meter Martini 7.0, made of carbon fibre with foam centres, is the most recent model created by the duo.

Four articulating mechanisms are located at each corner of the suspended superstructure, ascending to a height of 3.5 metres when the vessel is in motion and preventing seasickness.

David Halls, founder of Servo Yachts, said of the Martini 7.0, “I believe we have solved seasickness and significantly enhanced the sailing experience so that everyone can enjoy ocean travel.”

The superstructure encompasses the entire beam of the two hulls, which contain the concept’s primary propulsion and onboard systems.

The 430-square-meter upper deck features the concept’s primary social area, with a spa pool forward flanked by sunpads and an al fresco dining area on the open rear deck.

On the main deck are accommodations for up to ten guests, including a full-beam master suite with its own office and fitness centre, and four ensuite guest cabins located aft. The crew quarters are located on the lower deck, which also contains a galley, dive store, and a garage large enough to accommodate a 6.5-metre tender.

The 45-meter Martini 6.0 is made of carbon composite and has two vessels connected to the superstructure by an electro-pneumatic suspension system. Adjusting the height of the vessel to 4.5 metres eliminates pitch, roll, and heave through the seas.

Orion Shuttleworth, managing director of Shuttleworth Design, said of the Martini 6.0, “The vessel can move quickly through ocean swells with minimal motion on the suspended deck where the crew and guests are located.”
