Officina Amare, a yacht design company based in Milan, has re-captured our attention with a concept for a 360-foot megayacht named Project CENTAURO. With space for up to 14 passengers and 38 crew members, this yacht combines the worlds of opulence and sport on a grand scale, resembling a modern take on battleships.
It is the company’s most daring design, inspired by both naval vessels and futuristic spacecraft for its out-of-this-world appearance. With a large touch-and-go helipad dominating the bow, the yacht’s sharp edges, flowing lines, and gloss-finished superstructure give it a luxurious appearance despite its massive size.
According to Officina Armare, Project Centauro would be powered by a twin arrangement of MTU 20V 4000 M73L engines coupled with steerable water jets, which would propel this vessel to a maximum speed of over 20 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots.
The yacht was designed with relaxation and space in mind, with the owner’s private loft occupying the aft portion of the bridge deck and the top deck, and six capacious guest cabins located on the main deck.
In terms of entertainment, this yacht will feature a top-deck observation area with a jacuzzi, a beach club inspired by ancient temples with a gym, massage area, a full-beam spa, sauna, and hammam, multiple large exterior seating areas, a deck cinema on the lower deck, and a superb infinity pool as well.
Additionally, Project Centauro will feature a side garage with space for two 33-foot tenders, multiple aquatic toys, and even a small submarine.
