The nine-time Oscar nominee actor, director, and producer paid $1.2 mιllιon for his first home in Los Angeles in 2004, just a few years after co-starring in the beloved ensemble comedy “Wet Hоt American Summer.” The 1921 house that has been renovated by a designer is now available via Diana Braun at Compass for $2.4 mιllιon.

The courtyard-inspired front yard has celeb-style privacy thanks to a low fence and a towering hedge. Santillane de Chanaleille, a Paris-based designer, created “a natural and raw aesthetic” inside, showcasing reclaimed wood ceilings, concrete and wood flooring, and intricately patterned tile work in the bathrooms.

The not quite 1,600-square-foot home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a separate building that was probably formerly a garage provides additional living space.

The open-plan living/dining and kitchen have French doors on the opposing walls that enable for seamless integration with the outdoor living areas, and the detached structure has a large bank of accordion fold doors that achieve the same indoor/outdoor movement.

The almost totally vine-covered rear façade is covered in wisteria. A lush and exclusive sanctuary complete with an integrated grill, fire pit, and designated al fresco dining area is created by evergreen artificial grass, deep hedging, and mature plantings. A hоt tub and a water feature are also present on the property.

Abbott Kinney, one of the country’s trendiest streets, is just a few blocks away for those who enjoy a quick stroll to a variety of designer boutiques and chic eateries. A few more blocks will bring you to the famous and perpetually entertaining wild and wooly boardwalk that runs along the beach.
