Poarch’s Modest Mansion: Unassuming Exterior, Astonishing Interior

Poarch’s ascent to reputation and wealth seemed improbable. She was adopted as a young child by a reputedly violent military serviceman and his wife after being born into poverty in the Philippines. Poarch served three years in the Navy following his arrival in the country at the age of 14 and graduation from Herbert Hoover High School in Fresno. She met her spouse Tyler Poarch at that time, despite their first union just terminated in divorce.

Poarch posted videos of herself singing and dancing on TikTok in 2020, catapulting herself to international popularity. She currently has 92 million followers, which puts her account in third place overall on the app, behind only comedian Khaby Lame and actress Charli D’Amelio. And Poarch’s lip-syncing in a 10-second clip is still TikTok’s most popular video of all time.

Regarding Poarch’s unusual new residences, the building is concealed from the public’s gaze behind invisible gates in the Palisades foothills. The wood-clad modern building has stained glass windows that open to a foyer. In front of you is a living room with a fireplace that connects to a smaller sitting area with a fireplace and views of the backyard. The dining area, which connects to the kitchen and is immediate to the left of the foyer, has outdated appliances but stunningly lovely granite.

There are also two small guest bedrooms in the main home that share a single full bathroom, despite the lack of a separate powder room. The master suite, which is in a separate wing, has two walk-in closets, a fireplace, a reading area with wood panels, and a bathroom with green mosaic tile. Another spacious bedroom with ensuite laundry facilities is located on the other side of the home, likely for a live-in housekeeper.

The estate, which covers more than a half-acre, is said to have more than 800 varieties of plants and trees. There are numerous outdoor seating spots that are perfect for peaceful thought, as well as overgrown walkways, numerous sculptures, and bubbling fountains. A bridge with Japanese influences spans the lagoon-style pool. Additionally, there is a Japanese-style tea house with its own full bathroom, study, and private terrace with peek-a-boo ocean views at the extreme rear of the site, which is only reachable by a lengthy uphill pathway.
