DK Metcalf has added two luxurious villas totaling $7 million, displaying his affluence
DeKaylin “DK” Metcalf has started looking for a home after signing a new, record-breaking contract extension worth $72 mιllιon last summer. The highly compensated Seahawks wide receiver continues to reside in Seattle, where he already owns a mansion, but the 25-year-old has expanded his real estate holdings by purchasing properties in his home state of Mississippi and Los Angeles, spending a combined total of almost $7 mιllιon on vacation homes.
In one of the priciest areas in Los Angeles, the legendary Bird Streets, Metcalf has purchased a $5.4 mιllιon home. The wood-clad home, which was planned by Michael Palumbo and completely refurbished in recent years after being constructed in 1954, crams three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms into little under 3,000 square feet of luxurious living space.
And back in Washington State, Metcalf is still the owner of a recently constructed Craftsman-style house in Sammarish, a city located approximately 15 miles east of Seattle.
The Bird Streets compound has terraces for al fresco dining and socializing, as well as stunning views of the L.A. city basin and a small plunge pool. There is additional off-street parking for four more vehicles in addition to the two-car attached garage. Recessed LED lighting throughout, Miele appliances, and a sophisticated Control4 security system are additional noteworthy features. The home’s master suite occupies the full second floor, while the two guest bedrooms are situated on the first floor.
Metcalf acquired a 15-acre estate in Taylor, a small rural hamlet in Mississippi, not far from his hometown of Oxford. It’s unclear what he paid for the equestrian-friendly property, but the previous listing for it was for $1.4 mιllιon. It has an approximately 5,000-square-foot house of unknown architectural type, a 6-stall barn for horses, a riding arena, two ponds, and a 40-foot swimming pool, among other features.
The 15-acre estate in Mississippi (below), which was constructed in 2008, has a main house with a gourmet kitchen, granite countertops, and two tankless water heaters, as well as the aforementioned barn, storage space, and riding arenas.
