Rosie O’Donnell’s NYC penthouse is sold!
The 61-year-old former View host listed the stunning duplex for $8.3 million. The 3,600-square-foot home in Turtle Bay, Midtown Manhattan, has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Residents can see Manhattan and the East River from their rooftop terrace.
“The penthouse is incredibly spacious—it’s perfect for grand scale entertaining,” Brown Harris Stevens listing agent Paul Anand tells PEOPLE. “Plus, this size private rooftop is rare in NYC and offers iconic skyline views.”
According to the New York Times, the comedian moved to the West Coast with her youngest daughter, Dakota, 10.
When one enters the home, one is greeted by a massive great room that features a fireplace made of black granite that burns wood and plenty of seating space.
The dining room can be accessed directly from the great room. In addition to a traditional dining area, the dining room features a wall-spanning window seat that is positioned directly beneath a series of skylights.
In the chef’s kitchen, which features an eat-in island topped with white Corian and windows that reach all the way to the ceiling, one can take in breathtaking vistas of the surrounding city. In addition, there are two ovens, two sinks, two dishwashers, and a wine refrigerator that can hold seventy bottles of wine.
A one-of-a-kind bathroom designed in the style of a luxurious spa is located in an annex that is connected to the main bedroom. This bathroom features a walk-in glass steam shower, heated floors, a double vanity with a pair of glowing round mirrors mounted right on top of the windows, and a freestanding soaking tub.
A modern white staircase inspired by New York’s Guggenheim Museum leads to the rooftop terrace and the lower floor, which has two more bedrooms and a private sauna. A bar, pantry, wine cooler, refrigerator, microwave, and unobstructed views of the Chrysler Building, Empire State Building, and East River make the private outdoor space perfect for entertaining.
